Due to Google’s programming changes, there is a new way of setting up VitaLogics to sync to your Google Calendar. (effective with Jan. 2015 Update)
Please Note: Only one Gmail account can be entered per provider. The provider can only see his/her own calendar.
The good news is, if you change your gmail password in the future, you will no longer have to change it in VitaLogics.
To Sync VitaLogics to your Google Calendar
Please follow these steps:
Step 1: Edit the Provider
In VitaLogics go to Administration then click on Providers.
Select a Provider then click on Edit
Select the Calendar Sync Tab then click on Create Token. This will take you to a Google page.
Step 2: If the Provider is ALREADY SIGNED into Gmail you will see their email address in the upper right hand corner of the screen. In this case simply click "Accept" and skip to Step 4.
You will see this screen that shows "Received verification code" - Just click on "X" to close. You should go back to VitaLogics
Step 3: If SOMEONE ELSE is signed on to Gmail you need to follow these steps:
Please check top right corner, if this email address IS NOT the Provider's email that you want to sync to VitaLogics, you will need to click on the down arrow and select "Sign Out". Please note, if you click "Accept" when you are logged with the wrong user, you will have to delete the synch as start all over.
When you sign out it will take you to the Google login screen.
Enter the Provider's Google email and password and click "Sign In".
You will then see a screen with an email on the top right corner.
Confirm that is the email of the Provider that wants to sync to VitaLogics, and click "Accept".
Step 4: Publish the Calendar
You should then see Google Verification is set to "YES". Enter a check mark in "Publish this Provider's Appointments to his/her Google Calendar" then click SAVE.
***NOTE: This process must be completed for ALL providers that want VitaLogics synced to their Google Calendar
If you are having trouble Creating a Token you can try the following:
- Make sure the provider is not logged into any other computer with his Gmail account
- Go to Control Panel then Programs
- Delete any CoAction programs
- See if there are any duplicate VitaLogics programs
- Keep the latest date/version & uninstall older versions
- Then go back to STEP 1 instructions above
To Remove a Google Email from Syncing:
Go to Admin then select Providers
Select a Provider and click on Edit
Select the Calendar Sync Tab then click on Delete Token and SAVE
This will Unsync the Google Email from VitaLogics.
