Referral Source Report

Referral Source

The Referral Source report allows you to see a List of “New Patients” in a specific date range.

(True New Patients to your clinic, not the Patients that fall under the New Patient status according to Practice Diagnosis)

You will see patients categorized based on how patients were referred to your clinic.

This is extremely helpful when trying to determine if events, adds ran or web (google etc.) marketing is bringing in the majority of your “New Patients”

This report is ran by Assigned Provider.

Any patients that falls under the Unassigned category, are patients that DO NOT have a referral source selected under

Patient file > Patient Info Tab

To run the report

Under Reports

Referral Source

Select your filters:

  • Date Range: Range of Days, Day, Week, Month, Quarter or Year
  • Select Sort by number of patients referred or Sort by estimated income

Please keep in Mind, when running by estimated income, this is just an estimate. Not a true amount of earnings a patient may have generated.

  • can also check the box that states, “Include patients with no referral source”. This must be checked if you are needing to see a true list of “New Patients”.

Sample Report

This report will show the filters selected at the top of the report, Categories your patients fall in, Patients name, phone, address, new patient date, estimated income (to date), subtotals of estimated income and a total of patients that fall in that category.

You will also see a Pie Graph at the end of the report showing a visual of where your referrals are coming from.

In my example, Doctor Referrals is where most of my patients are coming from.

The Pie graph does not show Patients that fall under the unassigned category (patients without a referral source)
