Installing a New Server Computer

If you are wanting/needing to update your server computer here is some information you may find useful:

  • A Katana database transfer from one server to another, is something that needs to be scheduled with our programming department. It takes around 3 hours to complete the transfer and no one would be able to utilize the software during this time. We would need for you to be in the office at the time of transfer so that we can coordinate getting connected to your new and old server computers.
  • There is not a fee associated with a server transfer unless your office has already had a server transfer within the last year.

Installing a New Client Computer

If you are wanting/needing to update a client computer here is some information you may find useful:

  • Installing Katana on a new client computer is not something that needs to be scheduled with support as support can remote access onto the new PC and complete the install anytime during business hours. 
  • However, if you have an IT person that services your office and they want to complete the install, or if you would like to complete it in your own time, that can be arranged as well. Support would send an email with instructions and everything you would need to get this completed.
  • There is no fee associated with installing Katana on a client computer.

  • Please contact Katana support when you are ready for Katana to be installed on your new client computer.
